The
New Orleans Spice is a group that has been together since 1994. The band
performs internationally and has performed for hundreds of conventions, private
functions and many club dates in
New Orleans
. Members of the band include a few who are descendants of the early jazz
pioneers, a former ten year member of the Olympia Brass Band and in general the
best first-call musicians in New Orleans.
The
New Orleans Spice provides a specific style of music, New Orleans Jazz, but is
diverse and flexible with the ability to parade, perform in a club or on a
concert stage. Parades have included grand entrances for conventions, moving
large groups of people through the streets of
New Orleans
with police escorts, combining the parade with a concert stage performance and
virtually any combination imaginable. This group is flexible and really
entertains.
The
music on the New Orleans Spice CD entitled “Parade of Classics” is fun,
exciting, musical and captivating. It is classic
New Orleans
traditional jazz at its best. This is “feel-good” music in its finest form.
The CD has 16 selections of recognized songs performed by a few of the best
musicians in
New Orleans
today. The music and the package are first class.
